From the CCS First Grade Class
Our school has chapel services once a month. In December, we had a special chapel speaker. His name is Jonathan Coleman, and he used to be a student at CCS when he was in elementary school. Now he's a missionary in the Dominican Republic. He works at The Ark, a children's home. Our school has 'adopted' a friend at The Ark. His name is Deigo. Jonathan brought some pictures of Deigo and his friends. We also celebrated with our Speech and Word Festival winners in the December chapel.
Here are a few snapshots of us taken with some special visitors - Mr. and Mrs. Nordman. Mrs. Nordman is one of our 'e-pals' that we like to keep in touch with via email. They are the parents of Todd, a marine in Iraq that in an e-pal to our class as well. The Nordman's treated us to a special lunch and we enjoyed visiting with them face to face!
Below are some pictures of us the evening of our Christmas program. We enjoyed the evening very much and we did a great job on our songs!
We spent a lot of time working on Christmas crafts in December. We made cute little angel gift bags for our parents and filled them with some nice Christmas presents - ornaments we made ourselves!
Everyone loves a party! We had a blast at our class Christmas party!
