At Cape Christian School, we have gotten off to a great start in this new school year.  We have already started our 'reading, writing and arithmetic' lessons, and have done so much more as well.  We've made new friends, learned some new songs and read lots of fun books together. We've enjoyed having Spanish, P.E., Library, Music and Art.  We've started Social Studies and we've reviewed the math and phonics skills we learned in kindergarten.

Below are some snapshots of our first few days of school.  Click on any thumbnail for a larger view, then click your browser's 'back' button to return to this page.

Here we are working on an art project.  Aren't we a fine looking class?

Every day we say the Pledge of Allegiance to the American Flag, the Christian Flag, and the Bible.

From left to right above you'll see us pictured with some of our favorite adults!  Mrs. Smart is our Principal and Mrs. Carver is her assistant.  Mrs. Shelton is our first grade teacher, Mrs. Perry is our librarian, Mrs. Whitworth is our teacher's aid and recess/lunch supervisor, Senora Lapusan is our Spanish teacher, Coach Westrich is our P.E. teacher, and Mrs. Tullis is our Music teacher.

Here we are learning some of our new routines.  We learned right away that Mrs. Shelton likes to keep us on our toes.  Sometimes, when we finish our work, she tells us to do silly things to see if we are listening.  Above we are sitting on top of our desks to show her we are finished with our work.
