April Oral Reports
Last one!
This month’s topic goes along with the third graders learning the location of the 50 states. It requires the students to pick one of the 50 states and report on it. This report will be done the same way last months reports on the continents were done. A one page typed, double spaced paper will need to be turned in to me before they begin their oral portion of the report. Again, they may use note cards but please make sure your child isn’t writing all of their report out on the note cards. That defeats the purpose of encouraging them to make eye contact.
Ideas to include in the reports are when it became a state, who is the governor of the state, what is the state’s population, describe the climate, wildlife and tourist attractions (what would make someone want to go there), if you have ever been there or would want to go there, where is it in relation to Missouri and any other information you would like to share with your classmates.
Please choose three states you would be willing to report on and turn your choices in to me as soon as possible. I will let you know which state you will be reporting on. As always, if you have any questions, please give me a call or stop by and see me.
