MARCH ORAL REPORTS

It’s time for the oral report topic for the month of March.  This month’s topic is going to take a little research.  We have been working on memorizing the 7 continents (North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa and Antarctica).  Your assignment is to choose one continent that interests you the most or that you would like to know more about, and tell the class about it.  Tell us why the continent interests you, what you can do there, are there any important things we should know about the continent, any important or big places there, what’s the continent known for (ex. When I think of Australia, I think of Koala bears and Kangaroo’s!  It’s also referred to as The Land Down Under), what kinds of foods are most common there, and anything else you think the class would find interesting.

Along with your written report, please bring in maps of your continent (one showing all 7 continents with yours clearly marked and one showing just your continent) to show the class where it is located.  You may (you don’t have too!) even print off activities to go with your continent (color sheets, crossword puzzles, etc).  If you would like to bring in small food items that are most common to your continent, you may do that also.  Have fun with this and get creative!  If you have any questions, please let me know.
